About Razan Ali

Razan Ali is a Sudanese advocate and legal scholar with deep expertise in international law, particularly International Human Rights Law and International Business Law. She holds two Master of Laws (LLM) degrees, one in International and European Business Law from Trinity College Dublin and another in Human Rights and Democratization from the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Law (LLD), focusing on multidisciplinary research at the intersection of business and human rights, international humanitarian law, and international criminal law.

Her career spans work in conflict-affected regions, including serving as a Human Rights and Rule of Law Analyst with UNDP in Darfur and as an ICLA Officer with the Norwegian Refugee Council in Gedaref, where she supported displaced communities and Ethiopian refugees. She has also lectured in International Human Rights Law at the University of Khartoum and now serves as HRDA Alumni Coordinator at the University of Pretoria. As CTO-P at AASF, Razan provides strategic leadership in programme design, quality assurance, and partnerships, ensuring impactful, scalable, and innovative initiatives. She anchors AASF’s engagement with learners, youth NEETs, and refugee children, positioning the Foundation as a leader in climate action, education reform, Gender issues and youth empowerment.
